How to Use NicNames AI Domain Search

Start with a description of your business and turn the results into a useful domain shortlist. This guide shows how to run NicNames AI Domain Search, request more ideas, refine your brief and compare the names before you decide what to register.

1. Describe the business you want to name

Open AI Domain Search. In the field labeled “Share your vision, and let the magic happen...”, describe what you do, who you serve and the tone you want. You can begin with a business idea; you do not need a finished domain name.

Try this fictional example:

A small urban gardening shop selling seeds and balcony planters. Friendly, simple names that are easy to say and spell.

A useful brief gives the search a direction. Add concrete products or an audience instead of only asking for “a great name”. Use a sample description while experimenting and leave private business information out.

2. Run the search and read the suggestions

Select AI Search. Suggestions appear progressively, and the field and search button are temporarily disabled while the request runs. Wait until the controls become available before changing the brief.

The results show domain names, displayed prices and cart icons. Read the complete name, including its extension. Compare the suggestions before deciding which domain to register.

3. Ask for more ideas or change direction

If the general direction is useful, select Generate more ideas below the results. This adds more suggestions to the existing list.

If the names miss the tone you want, edit the description and select AI Search again. For example, try this preference:

Prefer short, playful names about tiny outdoor spaces. Avoid the word urban.

The revised search produces a new set of suggestions. Change one or two preferences at a time so you can judge what helped. AI suggestions still need your review; a request for a particular style is not a guarantee that every result will fit.

4. Build a shortlist outside the search page

Copy three to five candidates into your own notes. Compare them using the same questions:

Spelling: can someone type the full address after hearing it once?
Fit: does it describe the business you intend to build, including future products?
Clarity: could the wording or extension confuse your intended audience?
Cost: have you checked both registration and renewal, rather than comparing only the displayed search price?

5. Know when you have a useful result

You have completed the brainstorming stage when you can explain why each shortlisted name fits, spell it consistently and identify the costs you still need to confirm. Search results do not reserve a domain, and a suggestion is not proof that a name is suitable for your business to use.
