NicNames has expanded its domain catalog with four distinctive extensions: .DOT, .LATINO, .NL, and .SI. Whether you are building an AI company, reaching customers in the Netherlands, creating a home for a Latino brand or community, or protecting a trademark in the new .DOT namespace, there is a new naming opportunity waiting for you.
.SI: a sharp new identity for Super Intelligence
.SI is the country-code domain for Slovenia, and registration is open to anyone worldwide. Its short two-letter format also creates a memorable branding opportunity for the next generation of AI products: SI can stand for Super Intelligence.
That makes .SI especially appealing for AI laboratories, agent platforms, research projects, robotics companies, automation tools, machine-learning products, and founders looking for a fresh alternative when the ideal .AI name is unavailable.
Branding note: .SI is officially Slovenia's country-code extension. “Super Intelligence” is a creative use of the letters, not an official registry designation.
.NL: trusted Dutch identity, now available through NicNames
.NL is one of Europe's best-known country-code extensions and the natural choice for businesses, shops, creators, and organizations that want a clear connection with the Netherlands.
Registrations are now available through NicNames to customers worldwide. Use .NL for a Dutch-language website, a Netherlands-focused storefront, a local campaign, a portfolio, or a brand-protection registration.
.LATINO: a new public namespace for identity and community
.LATINO entered General Availability on June 12, 2026 and is open to everyone worldwide. Because the public launch is still new, many expressive and brandable combinations may still be available.
The extension gives businesses, creators, cultural projects, events, media, food brands, artists, and communities a domain that communicates identity before a visitor even opens the website.
.DOT: trademark holders can register now
The new .DOT extension is built for startups, developers, software, infrastructure, and technical brands. During Sunrise, from July 21 through October 19, 2026, an eligible trademark holder can register a .DOT name that exactly matches a trademark validated by the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH).
To register during Sunrise through NicNames, start on the .DOT domain page and upload a valid Signed Mark Data (SMD) file during registration. The SMD file must support the requested domain label.

What is .DOT Early Access?
Early Access runs October 20–November 1, 2026. During this 13-day phase, available .DOT names can be registered before General Availability on a first-come, first-served basis through participating accredited registrars. A trademark or SMD file is not required. Early-access pricing applies and may differ from General Availability pricing. Names remain subject to registry rules, including reserved or premium status.
Early Access gives customers an earlier opportunity to secure a desired available name; it does not guarantee registration. During the Trademark Claims period, an applicant may receive a notice if the requested name matches a trademark recorded in the TMCH.
General Availability begins November 2, 2026
From November 2, 2026, .DOT registration opens to everyone worldwide through accredited registrars. Available names will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to registry rules and any premium or reserved status.

Four extensions, four different ways to stand out
Choose .SI for a compact AI-forward identity, .NL for a trusted Dutch presence, .LATINO for culture and community, or .DOT for a technical brand and trademark-protection opportunity.
Start with the extension that matches your audience, then search for the shortest clear name you would be happy to say aloud, place in a logo, and share in a message.
