On 15 September 2025, ICANN’s Contractual Compliance team rolled out a redesigned set of webpages aimed at making it simpler for people around the world to locate and use the resources linked to compliance. The updated layout is based on input from various stakeholders and internal staff, demonstrating ICANN’s commitment to delivering information that is both accessible and up‑to‑date.
One of the major changes is the addition of a “Latest News” section at the top of the landing page. This section surfaces recent reports, metrics, blog posts, and news items, which are refreshed regularly so visitors can immediately see the most current developments. The redesign also introduces more intuitive navigation elements—new tiles that lead directly to central topics—reducing the effort needed to dig through multiple pages to find essential content.
Dedicated Pages & Specific Reporting Features
In the overhaul, ICANN has created six new dedicated URLs each focused on particular kinds of content. These include sections for blogs, monthly reports, audit reports, and similar high‑interest materials. The purpose is to make often‑accessed documents easier to locate, bookmark, and share.
A notable addition is a new reporting page specifically for registrars. It allows for reporting security breaches, notices of bankruptcy, and convictions—as required under the Registrar Accreditation Agreement. This specialized page centralizes what might otherwise be dispersed information, enhancing transparency and response efficiency.
Why These Changes Matter
Contractual Compliance plays a foundational role in reinforcing trust in ICANN’s mission. Its role involves ensuring that entities holding Registrar Accreditation Agreements and Registry Agreements with ICANN live up to those commitments. These web updates are meant to support that role by making compliance data and processes clearer and more reachable.
With streamlined navigation, direct entry points to core resources, and visible highlights of recent reports, stakeholders and the broader Internet community will have an easier time understanding how compliance is monitored, reported, and enforced. These enhancements are designed to allow users to follow developments, track key metrics, and more actively engage with ICANN’s policies and operations.
Invitation to Explore & Give Feedback
The updated Contractual Compliance site is now live. ICANN encourages users to explore the refreshed design and share feedback with the Compliance team. Input from the community is seen as vital for ongoing improvement in accessibility, usability, and transparency.
